About the Role:
We're looking for a hands-on Buyer who thrives in a fast-moving manufacturing environment and enjoys owning the full purchasing and planning process.
This isn't a narrow, transactional role. You'll play a critical part in ensuring materials are available to meet production demands, balancing cost, quality, and timing, while partnering closely with operations, engineering, and sales.
If you like variety, accountability, and the ability to directly impact business outcomes, this is a great fit.
What You'll Do:
- Own end-to-end purchasing: sourcing, quoting, negotiating, and issuing POs
- Build and maintain demand forecasts tied to production plans and business inputs
- Plan and manage material requirements to support manufacturing schedules
- Support costing and pricing by maintaining accurate standard costs
- Partner with sales to provide reliable cost data for quotes
- Monitor supplier performance and proactively address delivery or quality issues
- Strengthen and manage relationships with key vendors and niche suppliers
- Analyze inventory and recommend reorder points, safety stock, and replenishment strategies
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align supply chain with shifting priorities
- Identify and drive cost savings opportunities
- Maintain accurate data in ERP systems (lead times, pricing, supplier info)
- Support compliance with quality and aerospace standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement across supply chain processes
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in purchasing, planning, or supply chain (manufacturing preferred; aerospace a plus)
- Experience working in a small or mid-sized business with broad responsibilities
- Strong analytical and forecasting skills
- Proven ability to negotiate and manage suppliers
- High attention to detail with strong follow-through
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and communicating clearly
- Ability to adapt and problem-solve in a dynamic environment
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Excel
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with aerospace or regulated environments
- Certifications like CSCP, CPSM, or CPIM (not required)
Why join Us
- High-impact role with real ownership
- Collaborative team environment
- Opportunity to influence cost, efficiency, and supplier strategy
- Work closely with leadership in a growing organization
